What's the Difference between the Charity Ball and the Spring Fling?

Annual Charity Ball - This is our black tie (optional), dressy affair, which is our primary fundraiser of the year. The cost is usually in the neighborhood of $45. The event is held in November on the weekend before Thanksgiving and includes a professional dance performance and performances by HYDI students. Refreshments, dancing and classy raffles make up the evening. This event provides the main funding for HYDI programs throughout the year, which include teaching and working with the children, insurance, transportation for performances, costuming, etc.

Spring Fling - This affair, held in the early Spring, is a casual dress, fun event that features performances by the HYDI students. Here, we get to see the wonderful progress they have made in their dancing during the course of the school year. It is a fun evening to help usher in a "breath of spring". The cost is only $20, and a great opportunity to get together with friends for a fun evening of wonderful music and dancing.

Exit 43 off I-84 (Park Road). Take left onto Park Road.
At the second light, turn right onto South Main Street.
Go straight through the first light.
At the West Hartford Town Hall sign turn right into the parking lot.
Enter through the front of the building (pillared entryway).
